Mark Tatti is an accredited alcohol and drug assessor by the Department of Human Services. His been working in the forensic field as a senior clinician for over ten years; providing judges, the courts, adult, and juvenile parole boards with individual treatment plans and recommendations. The target groups serviced are complex clients who have come into contact with the criminal justice system and been subject to, or facing, either custodial or community based dispositions.

Mark's a registered & credited Mental Health Social Worker. His services offer Medicare Rebates to those entitled.

Individual treatment, counselling and recommendations

Mark practices from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. This intervention has gained widespread application amongst therapists due to its flexibility in meeting clients needs and direct client involvement. Counselling can address personal deficits in areas including: stress management, problem solving, conflict resolution, anxiety, and depression. Counselling incorporates educative strategies to reduce high risk behaviours, improved: physical health, social functioning, and emotional and psychological well being. Substance abuse problems are typically accompanied by a range of other life issues which frequently occur simultaneously. If required, further treatment recommendations or referrals will be formalised prior to completion of counselling.

Pathology analysis

Weekly urinalysis reports are provided as an appendix to the court report by a registered Pathology service in your local area. This will demonstrate to the courts, evidence of total abstinence, reduced, or modified substance use.

A comprehensive court report

Prior to the clients court hearing date, the completion of a report will be issued for the court's interest. The report includes: client attendance, presenting issues, background history, legal history, progress made in treatment, treatment goals attained, client motivation, changes in drug use, and further treatments required.The reports are conducted in accordance to behavioural change principles.

Court advocacy and evidence

Mark has experience in providing the courts with expert evidence relating to: clients progress in counselling, and any further treatment recommendations.
